ALBERT STREET TOILETS
In a joint project with Milton Keynes Council our public toilets were transformed from dark and dingy to toilets which are welcoming, clean and pleasant to use. After extensive refurbishment costing over £50,000, the toilets had a complete make over and facelift. The toilets were officially re-opened on Saturday 8th April 2006 by the Mayor of Milton Keynes

The refurbishment included new flooring, cisterns, sinks, cubicles, plus replacement of lots of piping and tanks behind the scenes.
In order to ensure that the toilets are kept in pristine condition, the Town Council has increased the cleaning to twice a day. The toilets are now cleaned at lunch time as well as last thing at night. The Town Council Caretaker makes regular inspections of the toilets and these are recorded and problems dealt with promptly.
The last 2 years we have entered ‘The Loo of the Year’ competition and were pleased that the toilets have improved from a 3 star facility to a 4! The summary report from the first year provided some very useful suggestions for improvements and changes were made dependant on budget. We have recently received a summary report for 2008 and are looking into ways we can improve this facility even further – maybe next year we will be 5 Star!
To report any issues regarding these toilets please contact the Town Council on 01908 649469.
